Huawei GT2 Smart alarm isn't working

I have the Huawei GT2 the alarm does not wake me up in the preset 30 minute window. It vibrates at the alarm time, not within the window.
Any fix for this?

You will need to turn off TrueSleep monitoring. Even though it is turned off, the sleep tracking will occur in the background and the smart alarm will work.

Seems like a strange way to get this work. You would think TrueSleep monitoring and smart alarm would logically work together.
