Not sure what added features and functions are possible and desirable for these watches. Don't know if this will apply to Honor watches as well?

It may be that this is more significant for for forth coming Huawei smartwatches with better hardware features.

Sounds good in theory but probably won't go anywhere. Only 2 big app stores, Google Play and the App Store from Apple. Samsung, Garmin and Fitbit all have app stores for their watches but the number of apps is very low. I suspect third party developers will only focus on the largest platforms and not bother with the rest.

My guess is that it will flounder. Just marketing to say they have an app store.
