Speculation that Next Samsung Watch Will Run Wear OS

This is a huge shift if it is true. Would be a major win for Wear OS. Perhaps Google will finally invest in this ecosystem to challenge Apple.

This is very big news. Depending on what Google does with Fitbit and Samsung jumps on board, perhaps Wear OS isn't dead.
Can't but think if this is true it's a bit of a backward step. I can't see what Wear OS would bring to their smartwatch platform that they have't already got. Samsung have been developing Tizen software and using it in TV's, smartwatches and other devices for several years. I can't help but think this is a business/political move with Samsung seemingly buddying up to Google on several fronts.

I don't think this is true. Not a good move on Samsung's part unless WearOS improves dramatically.

Speculation is that Samsung is working on 2 smartwatches code named Wise and Fresh. Wise is probably a more classical watch design while Fresh being the more sports focused one.

2021 may be the year of Wear OS. If Samsung comes onboard, OnePlus launches a watch and Motorola as well, that would be big improvements across the board.

Another article that is speculating the Galaxy Watch 4 will come with One UI on top of Wear OS. A big shift from Tizen but it won't be the stock Wear OS experience.

Word on the street is that Samsung is going to use Android (Wear OS) instead of Tizen for its upcoming Galaxy Watch models.
