Huawei Watch 3 appears to be almost ready to launch sometime next month. Some interesting changes:

• New user interface system based on HarmonyOS (current watches are using Lite OS)
• eSIM feature (cellular connectivity when the watch is not connected to a phone)
• Multi-device transfer for IoT connections
• More third-party apps

Even with a new OS, they won't close the gap on third-party apps and will be missing payment capability. Perhaps responding to notifications will be available.

Launched yesterday. Looks like an evolutionary improvement over previous Huawei watches. New OS, good battery life and new temperature sensor. Drawbacks are the inability to respond to notifications and limited apps.
